Families demand 100-year seal on MoD files is unlocked ahead of 31st anniversary
The families of those killed in the 1994 RAF Chinook crash on the Mull of Kintyre have today demanded the full release of documents which have been locked away for 100 years by the Ministry of Defence. They are also demanding the UK Government announce a judge-led public inquiry over concerns of a cover-up. It comes ahead of the 31st anniversary of the tragedy.
Thirty years of waiting: bereaved families launch the Chinook Justice Campaign
Today, Friday 31st May 2024, to mark the anniversary, sixteen bereaved families announce that they have joined together to form the Chinook Justice Campaign. The Chinook Justice Campaign seeks access, answers and accountability: access to all the key documents, answers about their loved ones deaths and accountability for the circumstances surrounding the crash.
